Planet Zoo 2

Planet Zoo 2 Exhibits: Setup and Animal Care

At a glance

Choose an Exhibit suitable for the species, connect paths and power, and assign a Keeper with access to a Keeper Hut. Set the species’ environment needs and open path-connected windows for guest viewing.

Choose an Exhibit for the species

Exhibits house small animals such as frogs, snakes and some fish. They are self-contained vivariums and do not need the separate Staff Gate used by a normal Habitat.

Check the species’ Zoopedia housing type and restrictions before choosing an Exhibit shape. Some species appear in both the Aquarium and Exhibit lists. You can customise height, windows, roofs and decoration, but the interior terrain still needs to suit the animal.

Set up care and environment

  1. Connect the Exhibit to paths and power.
  2. Assign a Keeper who can use a Keeper Hut.
  3. With a Trade Centre in the zoo, obtain suitable animals through Animal Trading. Transfers into and out of Exhibits are instant.
  4. In the Exhibit Info Panel, set Temperature, Humidity and Salinity as required by the species.
  5. Check animal numbers and social limits. Add Resting Points where needed, selecting species, poses and positions.

Keepers still provide food, water and cleaning each season. Power maintains environmental controls; it does not replace staff care. Fish Shoals and butterflies can move freely within Exhibits.

Open windows for guest viewing

Connect viewing windows to a Guest Path, then set them to Open in the Windows tab. Closing a viewing window does not stop a Keeper from caring for the animals.

Walkthrough Exhibits can be viewed from their internal paths and beside open windows.

Manage Colonies and Shoals

Colonies and Shoals grow as groups. With good welfare, a group can grow to its limit and split into a new group; contraception prevents that split. Poor welfare makes a group shrink and can eventually cause it to disappear.

Use these group controls rather than assuming every animal has an individual mate-pairing process.
