Planet Zoo 2

How to Go Online in Planet Zoo 2

At a glance

Franchise and Workshop need an online connection. Connect your Frontier account when prompted. If the Steam version remains Offline, check that your Frontier account is linked to Steam, fully restart Steam and reopen the game.

Connect to Franchise or Workshop

Open Franchise and follow the Frontier account prompts before creating or entering your Franchise. You can open Frontier Workshop from the pause menu or through Open Workshop in the Blueprint tab.

Some content can be played offline. Being able to launch the game does not mean its Franchise or Workshop services are connected.

If the Steam version still says Offline

  1. Confirm that the Frontier account you are using is linked to your Steam account. Check the link in the Frontier account portal as well as the game.
  2. Fully quit and restart the Steam client so account-linking changes can take effect.
  3. Reopen Planet Zoo 2 and check Franchise again. The in-game status may take a little time to update.

These account-linking steps apply to PC players using Steam. Other stores and consoles have different account-linking arrangements.

Separate account problems from service problems

A linked account cannot fix a server-side capacity issue. Connection errors and shortages in the Franchise animal market can also occur when online services are under heavy load.

Check current service announcements before repeatedly changing local settings. If linking and restarting do not help, send the platform, exact error message and time of the problem to Frontier Support.
